Online Carnatic Music Classes in the Bay Area
Carnatic classes that build the voice in the right order
The ladder in Carnatic music is not decoration. Sruti, then sarali varisai, then janta, then alankaram, then geetham, then varnam, and each rung only holds because the one under it was done properly. Most children who stall after two years stalled because a class skipped ahead to songs while the ear was still guessing at the note.

Carnatic classes that build the voice in the right order
A recorded lesson can teach a child the notes of a varisai. It cannot hear that they are singing the ri a shade flat, and a flat ri repeated for six months is very hard to unlearn. Every batch is live and small enough that each child sings alone and gets that correction while the note is still in the air.
The Bay Area is our single largest catchment in the USA, and the one where parents arrive with the clearest brief. Many work in tech, many learned their own shlokas from a grandparent in India, and most have already tried an app or a recorded course before writing to us.
Three speeds from the first month, so kalapramanam is never bolted on later
Tala kept by hand, not counted silently in the head
Taught by a concert vocalist graded by All India Radio, not an assistant
Batches small enough that every child sings solo in every class
Batch timings for the Bay Area
Live classes on PT, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Saturday and Sunday mornings Pacific are the slots that fill first, because 9 AM in Fremont is 9:30 PM in Bengaluru and both ends of the call are awake and functioning. Weekday batches run 6:00 to 7:30 PM Pacific. We will not put a child in a 5 AM class to make a batch work.
Fremont, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Cupertino, Milpitas and Santa Clara are where most of our Bay Area families are. Several batches have ended up entirely Bay Area, which children like — nobody has to explain why they are learning this.
What your child walks away able to do
A voice that holds sruti without leaning on the drone
Sarali, janta and the sapta tala alankarams in three speeds
First geethams and an adi tala varnam sung cleanly

Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online carnatic music classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for PT. Saturday and Sunday mornings Pacific are the slots that fill first, because 9 AM in Fremont is 9:30 PM in Bengaluru and both ends of the call are awake and functioning.
“The storytelling program transformed my shy son. Last month he confidently narrated a Panchatantra tale at his school assembly. The mentors are patient, warm and world-class.”

Voice is the discipline that survives the screen best, because everything the mentor needs is audible. The child sings alone, the mentor hears the sruti slip and corrects it in that moment. Families across the Bay Area learn this way with us every week.
