Carnatic classes that build the voice in the right order
A recorded lesson can teach a child the notes of a varisai. It cannot hear that they are singing the ri a shade flat, and a flat ri repeated for six months is very hard to unlearn. Every batch is live and small enough that each child sings alone and gets that correction while the note is still in the air.
Canadian families tend to come to us with a specific worry: their children have plenty of cultural community at the temple or the sabha but nowhere to learn the language and the text behind it. Weekend cultural programmes cover celebration well and instruction rarely.

Vancouver and Calgary families usually take the same weekend batch three hours earlier in their own day. Winter timings do not shift, we hold the local clock time, not the Indian one.
