Online Carnatic Music Classes in Canberra

Carnatic classes that build the voice in the right order

The ladder in Carnatic music is not decoration. Sruti, then sarali varisai, then janta, then alankaram, then geetham, then varnam, and each rung only holds because the one under it was done properly. Most children who stall after two years stalled because a class skipped ahead to songs while the ear was still guessing at the note.

Why families choose us

Carnatic classes that build the voice in the right order

A recorded lesson can teach a child the notes of a varisai. It cannot hear that they are singing the ri a shade flat, and a flat ri repeated for six months is very hard to unlearn. Every batch is live and small enough that each child sings alone and gets that correction while the note is still in the air.

Canberra is a small, highly educated city, and its Indian families are largely in the public service, the universities and research. Parents here often have a precise idea of what they want taught and why, and the smaller community means a specialised class is rarely available locally.

Sruti fixed first, because nothing built above a wrong foundation survives

The traditional order kept: sarali, janta, alankaram, geetham, varnam

Three speeds from the first month, so kalapramanam is never bolted on later

Batches small enough that every child sings solo in every class

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us about your child

Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online carnatic music classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.

3. Pick a slot that survives the school week

We place your child in a batch built for AEST/AEDT. Weekday 5:00 to 7:00 PM Canberra time and Saturday mornings, shared with our Sydney and Melbourne batches..

“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
