The difference between a song class and vocal training shows up in the third year. One child has a longer list of songs; the other can take a raga they were given this morning and sing something of their own in it. The second takes a mentor who has stood on a stage and knows what the music demands.
The Dutch Indian community is small enough that families often tell us there is no local option at all — no weekend class, no temple programme within a sensible drive. That absence, rather than dissatisfaction with an alternative, is usually why families in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Utrecht and Rotterdam come to us.

Weekday 5:00 to 7:00 PM CET, the same window as Germany, which means Dutch and German families often share a batch. Saturday mornings run too. Because batches can be small in this region, mentors have more time per child than average.

Yes, because gamaka is heard, not seen. The mentor sings the phrase, the child sings it back alone, and the correction happens on the spot. What matters is batch size rather than the medium, and ours are kept small for exactly this.
