Making things with their hands, not just pictures
A drawing either looks right or it does not. A made object also has to stand up, hold together and survive being carried to school, which is a far more honest teacher. Craft gives a child a result they can hold, and a failure whose cause they can see immediately.

Making things with their hands, not just pictures
Painting and drawing train the eye on a flat surface. Craft trains the hands in three dimensions — scoring before folding, letting glue set, judging where a structure will give. Children who find drawing frustrating often thrive here, because the feedback is physical and instant rather than a matter of opinion.
Adelaide’s Indian community has grown largely through students who stayed on and built families, and Indian-born residents are now one of the largest overseas-born groups in South Australia. Many households are young, with children under ten, which suits shloka and storytelling batches well.
Real technique — scoring, folding, joining and finishing

Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For craft classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for ACST/ACDT. Adelaide is on a half-hour timezone, four hours ahead of India in winter and five in summer.
“The storytelling program transformed my shy son. Last month he confidently narrated a Panchatantra tale at his school assembly. The mentors are patient, warm and world-class.”
