Craft Classes in Coventry

Making things with their hands, not just pictures

A drawing either looks right or it does not. A made object also has to stand up, hold together and survive being carried to school, which is a far more honest teacher. Craft gives a child a result they can hold, and a failure whose cause they can see immediately.

Why families choose us

Making things with their hands, not just pictures

Painting and drawing train the eye on a flat surface. Craft trains the hands in three dimensions — scoring before folding, letting glue set, judging where a structure will give. Children who find drawing frustrating often thrive here, because the feedback is physical and instant rather than a matter of opinion.

Coventry’s Indian community came largely in the 1950s and 60s to work in the car and engineering factories, and it remains substantial, Punjabi and Gujarati, Sikh and Hindu. The grandparents who arrived then are now the ones asking us to teach their grandchildren what they learned in villages they left sixty years ago.

Real technique — scoring, folding, joining and finishing

Three-dimensional thinking, and structures that genuinely hold

Fine motor control built through making, not through worksheets

Something finished and holdable at the end of nearly every class

Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us about your child

Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For craft classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.

3. Pick a slot that survives the school week

We place your child in a batch built for GMT/BST. Weekdays from 4:30 PM, after the school run, until 7:00 PM, plus Saturday morning batches with our Midlands families..

“The Ramayana classes are the highlight of my daughter’s week. She now teaches us the values she learns. As NRI parents in Dubai, this connection to our culture is priceless.”

Five to twelve. Scissors work is adapted for the youngest, and older children move on to planning and building their own designs rather than following a demonstration.
