A tablet does not make a child a better artist, it makes a mediocre drawing faster to produce. So this class runs the fundamentals and the software together: construction and value on one side, layers, brushes and colour management on the other. What children want to make — characters, scenes, their own comics — is the vehicle for both.

We will not spend the hour teaching menus. Software changes and the skill underneath does not, so roughly half of every class is drawing and half is doing it digitally. Children arriving with no traditional drawing experience are usually asked to take the pencil class alongside, and we will say so when you enquire.
Sweden’s Indian community has grown fast in the last fifteen years, mostly engineers and researchers in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. Weekday 5:00 to 7:00 PM Swedish time and Saturday mornings. Sweden is three and a half hours behind India in summer and four and a half in winter; we hold your local clock time through both switches.

Prefer a room, paper and paint on a table?
Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for CET. Weekday 5:00 to 7:00 PM Swedish time and Saturday mornings.

Ideally alongside. A tablet accelerates whatever skill is already there and cannot substitute for it, so about half of every class is drawing fundamentals. Children with no pencil experience are usually advised to take the drawing class in parallel.
