Madhubani Painting Classes for Kids in Malleshwaram, Bangalore
Madhubani, taught with its rules intact
Madhubani is not a decorative style you can approximate. It has rules — the double outline, the absence of empty space, the specific motifs for fish, bamboo, sun and the kohbar marriage panel, each carrying a meaning. Taught properly it is one of the best line-discipline exercises a child can do, and it comes with several centuries of Mithila behind it.

Madhubani, taught with its rules intact
Search results are full of "Madhubani for kids" worksheets that are really colouring pages with a border. We teach the actual grammar of the form: how the fill patterns work, why the space is filled, what each motif means, and how a panel is composed. Children finish able to make a Madhubani painting, not a picture that resembles one.
Malleshwaram has the strongest existing culture of Sanskrit and scripture learning of any part of Bengaluru, along with more temples per square kilometre than anywhere else in the city. Parents here ask the most exacting questions about pronunciation and lineage, and they are right to.
The real grammar of the form, motif by motif
Exceptional line control, the by-product of all that fill work
Natural-pigment palette explained, then worked in poster colour
A finished panel worth framing, not a worksheet

We place your child in a batch built for IST. Weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM IST, plus weekend morning batches, generally set to fit around the Carnatic and Sanskrit classes many of these children already attend..
“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
