Online Art Classes for Kids in the USA
Art classes that teach technique and India’s own traditions
Most children’s art classes are one of two things: a craft hour where everyone makes the same thing, or a Western fundamentals course that treats Indian art as a decorative afterthought. We teach both halves properly. Observation, line, proportion and colour as real technique, and Warli, Madhubani, Rangoli and Kalamkari as real disciplines with their own rules.

Art classes that teach technique and India’s own traditions
The test of an art class is whether a child improves at drawing, not whether they come away with something fridge-worthy. Mentors work on grip, proportion and observation from the first class, and because batches are small they can see each child’s page on screen and correct it while the pencil is still moving.
The USA is our largest community outside India, and it is spread across four time zones, which shapes everything about how we schedule. Most families who write to us are second-generation parents whose own Sanskrit came from a grandparent, and who have realised their children have no equivalent person to learn it from.
Drawing fundamentals taught as skill, not as talent
Four Indian folk art forms alongside Western technique
Every child works on their own page, not a shared template
Small batches, so the mentor sees each drawing as it happens
A portfolio that shows a year of visible improvement
Offline batches available in Jayanagar, Bengaluru
Batch timings for the USA
Live classes on PST/EST, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Weekend mornings Eastern and Pacific are the two slots that fill first, because they land in the Indian evening and work for both coasts. Weekday batches run at 6:30 to 8:00 PM local on the East Coast. We do not ask a child in California to attend at 5 AM, and if the only slot we can offer you is a bad one we will say so.
Families join us from the Bay Area, New Jersey, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta and Chicago in the largest numbers. Several batches have ended up entirely North American, which children like, they are learning alongside others in exactly the same position.
What your child walks away able to do

Confident use of pencil, pastel, poster colour and watercolour
Fluency in Warli, Madhubani, Rangoli and Kalamkari
A finished portfolio the child chose and completed
Online Art Classes for Kids, module by module
What a year of online art classes for kids actually covers, in the order we teach it.
Learning to See
Line, shape, proportion and negative space. The observation habit every other module depends on.
Colour
The wheel, mixing, washes and layering across four media, so the child learns what each one can do.
Warli and Madhubani
Two folk traditions with strict rules, taught with the stories behind their motifs.
Rangoli and Kalamkari
Grid, symmetry and festival design; then narrative panels that tell an episode from the epics.
Craft and Making
Paper, clay and collage. Work that comes off the page and into the hands.
Portfolio
Choosing, finishing and presenting their strongest pieces at a family showcase.
Prefer a room, paper and paint on a table?
Arts & Painting is the one class we teach in person as well as online. Offline batches run at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, with the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online art classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the trial to what they can already do.
2. Free trial with a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for PST/EST. Weekend mornings Eastern and Pacific are the two slots that fill first, because they land in the Indian evening and work for both coasts.
“Living in California, we worried our kids would lose their roots. The online Shloka and Gita classes changed that. They chant every morning now, and understand what the words mean.”
Online Art Classes for Kids in the USA, FAQs
Better than most parents expect. The mentor’s hands and paper are on screen throughout, and with a small batch they can see each child’s page and fix a grip or a proportion in the moment. Families in the USA who wanted a room instead can join our offline arts batches in Jayanagar, Bengaluru.
