Online Painting Classes for Kids in Thiruvananthapuram
Painting classes where colour is taught as a craft
Painting is where most children’s art goes wrong, because nobody teaches them what colour actually does. They are handed a set and told to fill in. This class starts at the wheel: what mixes, what turns muddy, why a wash behaves differently from a flat fill, and how to layer without losing the drawing underneath.

Painting classes where colour is taught as a craft
Painting is not colouring in a finished outline. We spend the first weeks on the drawing beneath the paint, because a well-painted bad drawing is still a bad drawing. Children who arrive able to fill in neatly usually find this the hardest and most useful adjustment.
Thiruvananthapuram has a deep Sanskrit scholarly tradition and comparatively little of it packaged for young children. Parents here are often well informed about the material and quite particular about how it is taught, which we would rather have than the alternative.
Colour mixing taught properly, including what goes muddy and why
Four media compared: crayon, oil pastel, poster colour, watercolour
Wash, wet-on-wet and layering technique, not flat filling
Finished paintings, not exercises, from the first term

Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. If Thiruvananthapuram is within a sensible drive, tell us and we will send the current offline batch timings.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online painting classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for IST. The usual IST batches — weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM, weekend mornings..
“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
