Online Shloka Classes in Toronto
Shloka classes your child will actually keep up
Most children can repeat a shloka after hearing it a few times. Far fewer can say it correctly a year later, and fewer still know what they are saying. We teach the sound first — the varnamala, where the tongue sits, where the breath breaks — then the meaning, then the daily habit that makes it stick.

Shloka classes your child will actually keep up
A recording can teach a child to imitate a shloka. It cannot hear that they are saying "ksha" as "chha", and it cannot tell that they have quietly stopped practising. That correction is the whole job, which is why every batch is live, small and led by a mentor who knows your child’s voice.
The Greater Toronto Area is where most of our Canadian families are, and it is one of the few places abroad where a parent can realistically find an in-person option. Families who choose us over one have usually done so for batch size and for pronunciation correction rather than for convenience.
Correct uchcharana, corrected in the moment, not after a term
Meaning taught alongside the verse, never rote-only
A 10-minute daily practice that survives school weeks
Traditional memory technique, so verses stay for years
Batches small enough that the mentor hears every child chant
Progress you can hear at home within the first month
Batch timings for Toronto
Live classes on ET, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Weekday 6:30 to 8:00 PM Eastern and Saturday mornings Eastern. Toronto shares Eastern time with New Jersey and Atlanta, so children often sit in batches with families across the border.
Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Scarborough and Vaughan account for most of our GTA families. Fees are quoted in CAD, and we will tell you plainly if a Toronto family would be better served by a local in-person class.

Online Shloka Classes, module by module
What a year of online shloka classes actually covers, in the order we teach it.
The Sound Before the Verse
Varnamala, articulation points, breath and rhythm. Two weeks that decide whether everything after it is correct.
Shlokas for the Day
Morning, before-meals, before-study and gratitude shlokas, learned in the slot of the day they belong to.
Ganesha, Saraswati, Gayatri
The devotional core, with the meaning of each line unpacked so it is never just sound.
Meaning & Life-Lesson
What the verse is arguing, and where a nine-year-old meets that argument in their own week.
Memory & Swara
Traditional repetition patterns and correct swara, the two things that make recall effortless.
The Daily Habit
Building a practice at home that runs without a parent standing over it.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online shloka classes that matters — the mentor pitches the trial to what they can already do.
2. Free trial with a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for ET. Weekday 6:30 to 8:00 PM Eastern and Saturday mornings Eastern.
“The storytelling program transformed my shy son. Last month he confidently narrated a Panchatantra tale at his school assembly. The mentors are patient, warm and world-class.”
Online Shloka Classes in Toronto, FAQs
No, and most of our families in Toronto start exactly there. We begin with sound and articulation, not grammar, so a child who has never seen Devanagari is on the same footing as one who has.
