Postnatal Yoga Classes in Kenya

Getting your body back, slowly and on your own schedule

After delivery the body has been through months of change and, for many mothers, surgery too. Postnatal yoga here starts from the ground: breathing that reconnects with the deep core, gentle pelvic-floor awareness, and posture for all the feeding and carrying. It begins only after your doctor has cleared you, and it builds back gradually, with no rush to “bounce back”.

Why families choose us

Getting your body back, slowly and on your own schedule

Jumping straight into crunches, planks or a regular power class can put strain on a core and pelvic floor that are still recovering. Social media is full of that pressure. Here the mentor asks about your delivery, any C-section or separation of the abdominal muscles, and your doctor’s advice, and then builds your practice step by step.

Kenya’s Indian community traces back to the building of the Uganda Railway in the 1890s and to Gujarati and Punjabi traders who followed it, and many Kenyan Asian families have been in Nairobi and Mombasa for four or five generations. Gujarati is often still spoken at home; Sanskrit usually is not, and that is the gap parents here tend to name.

C-section and abdominal-separation concerns shared beforehand and respected

Relief for the neck, shoulders and back strained by feeding and carrying

Short sessions from home, fitted around a baby’s unpredictable day

Breathing and rest that give a tired new mother a pause in the day

Timings

Batch timings for Kenya

Live classes on EAT, scheduled around your week rather than ours.

Kenya is two and a half hours behind India with no daylight saving. Weekday 5:00 to 7:00 PM EAT is 7:30 to 9:30 PM in India, comfortable on both sides, and Saturday mornings run as well.

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us who the class is for

Call or WhatsApp us and say who is joining and where they are starting from. For postnatal yoga classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to their age, body and experience.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with you for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class and batch of ours.

3. Pick a slot that fits your week

We place you in a batch scheduled for EAT, around work, family and daily routine rather than across them.

“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”

Only after your doctor’s postpartum check and clearance. That is usually some weeks after a normal delivery and typically later after a C-section, but the timing should always come from your doctor.
