Symmetry you draw on the floor, from memory
Rangoli is drawn on the floor, in loose powder, with no eraser and no undo — and it is meant to be swept away the next morning. That combination teaches something a sketchbook cannot: plan the whole thing before you commit, because the first line already decides the last.

Symmetry you draw on the floor, from memory
A drawing class trains the hand on paper, at a desk, at eye level. Rangoli is a different plane, a different scale and an unforgiving medium, and most children who draw well on paper are lost the first time they work on the ground. We start with the dot grid, because symmetry on a floor is arithmetic before it is art.
Powder control — the pinch, the pour, and a steady continuous line
Regional styles distinguished: kolam, muggu, alpana, rangoli
Festival designs timed for Diwali, Pongal, Ugadi and Onam
Practised on paper before floor, so no material is wasted learning
What your child walks away able to do
A symmetrical dot-grid design completed unaided
A steady powder line and an even, controlled fill

Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For rangoli classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch scheduled for IST, around school hours and homework rather than across them.

“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
Rangoli Classes in Doddakannelli, Bangalore, FAQs
The mentor’s camera looks down at their floor and the child sets a phone or laptop to do the same, so both sides see the work from above. Families in Doddakannelli usually give the child a corner of the floor or a large sheet of card; either works.
