Sketching Classes for Kids & Teens in Delhi

Pencil sketching for children who want to get serious

By eleven or twelve, a child who likes drawing usually wants something the general art class does not give them: proper shading, faces that look like people, hands that are not hidden behind backs. This is that class. Graphite grades, value structure, portrait construction and perspective, taught at the pace of someone who intends to be good.

Why families choose us

Pencil sketching for children who want to get serious

This is not the class for a child who draws occasionally and enjoys it. It is for the one filling sketchbooks and getting frustrated at the same plateau, usually faces and hands. Expect homework, expect weeks on value studies, and expect a visible change in about two months.

Delhi and the NCR families who write to us are often the most explicit about wanting Sanskrit taken seriously — a good number of the children already do Sanskrit at school and are finding that the marks arrive without the understanding. That is a specific request and it shapes how mentors pitch the class here.

Graphite grades and value structure taught properly

Portrait construction, so faces stop being guesswork

Hands, feet and drapery, the things children avoid

Perspective applied to real interiors and streets

Weekly homework with genuine critique, not praise

Portfolio guidance for art-school or competition entry

Timings

Batch timings for Delhi

Live classes on IST, scheduled around your week rather than ours.

Weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM IST, with weekend morning batches. Because Delhi shares our timezone exactly, slots are flexible and a change mid-term is usually easy to arrange.

We hear most from South Delhi, Dwarka, Rohini, Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad. Winter school schedules in Delhi shift more than in the south, and mentors adjust batch timings rather than asking families to.

What your child gains

What your child walks away able to do

A recognisable, proportional portrait from a photograph

Full value range and convincing form

Drawing hands and drapery without avoidance

A sketchbook practice that continues without a class

The curriculum

Sketching Classes for Kids & Teens, module by module

What a year of sketching classes for kids & teens actually covers, in the order we teach it.

01

Pencils and Value

H through 8B, and building a full value scale before drawing anything with it.

02

Form Under Light

Spheres, cylinders, drapery. Weeks of it, because everything else assumes it.

03

The Head

Loomis-style construction, features in proportion, and the specific errors that make a portrait look wrong.

04

Hands and Feet

The parts children hide. Blocked out, simplified and then drawn properly.

05

Perspective in Practice

A real room and a real street, measured and constructed rather than guessed.

06

Portfolio

Selecting, finishing and presenting work to a standard an art teacher would take seriously.

Prefer a room, paper and paint on a table?

Arts & Painting is the one class we teach in person as well as online. Offline batches run at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, with the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. If Delhi is within a sensible drive, tell us and we will send the current offline batch timings.

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us about your child

Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For sketching classes for kids & teens that matters — the mentor pitches the trial to what they can already do.

2. Free trial with a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.

3. Pick a slot that survives the school week

We place your child in a batch built for IST. Weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM IST, with weekend morning batches.

My son now begins every day with his shlokas, chanting them perfectly, and actually understanding what they mean. What moved me most is how much calmer and more focused he has become.

Sketching Classes for Kids & Teens in Delhi, FAQs

Ten to fifteen. Younger children are better served by our drawing class, which covers the same foundations at a gentler pace. This one assumes a child who already draws by choice.
