Warli Art Classes for Kids in Qatar
Warli, the whole world drawn from three shapes
Warli is built from a circle, a triangle and a line, and out of those three shapes the Warli people of Maharashtra draw harvests, weddings, hunts and the tarpa dance. For a child it is the clearest possible lesson in how much you can say with very little, and it is the one folk form a five-year-old can genuinely do well.

Warli, the whole world drawn from three shapes
Because Warli looks simple, it is usually taught as a stick-figure exercise. What gets lost is that it is narrative art — every panel is a scene with people doing something together. We teach the vocabulary and then the composition, so the child ends up telling a story rather than scattering figures.
Indians are the largest expatriate community in Qatar, and most families here live in and around Doha with children in CBSE or Kerala-board Indian schools. What Qatar does not have is a public temple, so the shloka a child learns is learned at home or nowhere — which is exactly the gap a live class fills.
The best folk form for younger children, from five up
Strong grounding in shape, rhythm and repetition
Traditional white-on-earth palette and the reason for it
Scales from a small panel to a wall at home
Batch timings for Qatar
Live classes on AST (UTC+3), scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Qatar is two and a half hours behind India with no daylight saving, so a 5:00 to 7:30 PM weekday class in Doha is 7:30 to 10:00 PM in India, comfortable for both ends. The Qatari weekend is Friday and Saturday, and weekend batches are scheduled on those days, not on the Indian Sunday.
What your child walks away able to do
Composing a Warli panel that reads as a scene
Fluency with the circle-triangle-line vocabulary
Understanding of rhythm and repetition in composition

Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For warli art classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for AST (UTC+3). Qatar is two and a half hours behind India with no daylight saving, so a 5:00 to 7:30 PM weekday class in Doha is 7:30 to 10:00 PM in India, comfortable for both ends.
“Living in California, we worried our kids would lose their roots. The online Shloka and Gita classes changed that. They chant every morning now, and understand what the words mean.”
