Yoga for Stress & Sleep in Trinidad and Tobago

An evening routine that tells your body the workday is over

For many working adults the laptop closes at nine, the phone stays in hand until midnight, and then sleep refuses to come. This class is a scheduled evening wind-down: slow stretches that release the day’s tension, calming breath, and a guided yoga nidra, done at the same time each week so your body learns the signal that work has ended.

Why families choose us

An evening routine that tells your body the workday is over

Sleep advice usually arrives as a list, “no screens, fixed bedtime, relax”, that no one follows after a long day. A live evening batch replaces the list with a routine someone else runs for you. And unlike a purely seated meditation course, this class uses gentle movement first, because a body full of desk tension will not settle just by being told to.

Indians arrived in Trinidad as indentured labourers from 1845, mostly from the Bhojpuri-speaking villages of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and Indo-Trinidadians are now around a third of the country. Divali is a national holiday and village Ramleela is still performed; what has largely been lost over five generations is the language, and parents come to us to give their children the Sanskrit and Hindi behind traditions they already live.

A fixed evening batch that becomes part of your bedtime routine

Slow movement to release the neck, back and hips before sleep

Practical wind-down habits around screens, light and evening work

Offered alongside medical care, never as treatment for anxiety or insomnia

Timings

Batch timings for Trinidad and Tobago

Live classes on AST (UTC−4), scheduled around your week rather than ours.

Trinidad is nine and a half hours behind India. A weekday after-school slot would fall in the Indian small hours, so we are plain about it: Saturday and Sunday morning batches, 8:00 to 10:00 AM local, are what we offer, landing in the Indian evening.

What you gain

What you walk away able to do

A 20-minute wind-down routine you can do alone on other evenings

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us who the class is for

Call or WhatsApp us and say who is joining and where they are starting from. For yoga for stress & sleep that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to their age, body and experience.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with you for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class and batch of ours.

3. Pick a slot that fits your week

We place you in a batch scheduled for AST (UTC−4), around work, family and daily routine rather than across them.

“Living in California, we worried our kids would lose their roots. The online Shloka and Gita classes changed that. They chant every morning now, and understand what the words mean.”
