This class is not the Ramayana with different names. The Ramayana shows a child what an ideal looks like; the Mahabharata shows what happens when ideals collide. We recommend it from about eight upwards, and it is deliberately more argumentative than anything else we teach.
The Dutch Indian community is small enough that families often tell us there is no local option at all — no weekend class, no temple programme within a sensible drive. That absence, rather than dissatisfaction with an alternative, is usually why families in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Utrecht and Rotterdam come to us.
