Online Drawing Classes for Kids in Minneapolis
Drawing classes that start with learning to look
Children do not draw what is in front of them, they draw what they believe is in front of them — a symbol for an eye, a symbol for a hand. Teaching drawing means interrupting that. We work on looking before technique: measuring by eye, noticing the shape of the gap between two things, and drawing the line that is actually there.

Drawing classes that start with learning to look
This is the class for a child who wants to get genuinely good, and it is more demanding than a craft hour. There is repetition in it. There are weeks of shading a single sphere. What comes out the other side is a child who can draw anything in front of them, which is a different thing from a child with a folder of nice pictures.
The Twin Cities have a well-established Indian community, and the Hindu Temple of Minnesota in Maple Grove is one of the largest Hindu temples in North America. Families here are used to building their own cultural life in a region with real winters, and they tend to want rigour from a class, not just a pleasant hour.

Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online drawing classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for CT. Weekday 6:00 to 7:30 PM Central and Saturday morning Central, shared with our Chicago and Dallas batches..
“My son now begins every day with his shlokas, chanting them perfectly, and actually understanding what they mean. What moved me most is how much calmer and more focused he has become.”

We teach the construction underneath them, proportion, gesture, perspective, and then children apply it to whatever style they love. Skipping straight to copying an anime face is why so many children plateau at twelve.
