Online Puja Classes in New Zealand

Learn to perform the puja, not just attend one

Most households in New Zealand perform some form of daily puja, and most perform it from memory — a sequence half-learnt from a grandparent, with the mantras approximated and a few steps quietly dropped. These classes teach the procedure as it is actually laid down: each step in its place, each mantra pronounced correctly, and the reason behind both.

Why families choose us

Learn to perform the puja, not just attend one

A video can show you the order of a puja. It cannot hear that your Saṅkalpa is garbled, or notice that you have been skipping Ācamana for a year. Classes are live and small for that reason, and every learner chants and performs alone while the teacher listens.

New Zealand is the furthest ahead of any community we teach, six and a half to seven and a half hours ahead of India, and the most likely to be told by other providers that a workable slot does not exist. It does; it just has to be built deliberately rather than borrowed from the Australian timetable.

The daily puja performed in its correct traditional order, start to finish

Ṣoḍaśopacāra, the sixteen offerings, taught one at a time with their mantras

Saṅkalpa and Kalasha puja, the steps most households skip or rush

A practice that needs no priest for the everyday worship of the home

Timings

Batch timings for New Zealand

Live classes on NZST, scheduled around your week rather than ours.

Weekday 4:30 to 6:30 PM NZST, which is late morning to early afternoon in India, so mentors are fresh rather than at the end of a teaching day. Saturday morning NZ batches also run. Daylight saving is handled on our side.

Auckland accounts for most of our New Zealand families, with Wellington and Christchurch following. Batches are often shared with Australian families in the neighbouring hour.

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us who the class is for

Call or WhatsApp us and say who is joining and where they are starting from. For online puja classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to their age, body and experience.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with you for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class and batch of ours.

3. Pick a slot that fits your week

We place you in a batch scheduled for NZST, around work, family and daily routine rather than across them.

“Living in California, we worried our kids would lose their roots. The online Shloka and Gita classes changed that. They chant every morning now, and understand what the words mean.”

No. Mantras are taught sound by sound and corrected live, with the meaning explained line by line. Most learners arrive knowing the shape of the puja but not the words.
