Online Puja Classes in Auckland

Learn to perform the puja, not just attend one

Most households in Auckland perform some form of daily puja, and most perform it from memory — a sequence half-learnt from a grandparent, with the mantras approximated and a few steps quietly dropped. These classes teach the procedure as it is actually laid down: each step in its place, each mantra pronounced correctly, and the reason behind both.

Why families choose us

Learn to perform the puja, not just attend one

A video can show you the order of a puja. It cannot hear that your Saṅkalpa is garbled, or notice that you have been skipping Ācamana for a year. Classes are live and small for that reason, and every learner chants and performs alone while the teacher listens.

Auckland holds most of New Zealand’s Indian community, from long-settled Gujarati families to Indo-Fijian households and recent skilled migrants. Sandringham Road’s Indian shops and the temples in South Auckland show how varied it is, and the children who come to us start from very different places.

Every mantra corrected live rather than imitated from a recording

The meaning of each step, so the actions are understood and not merely copied

Ṣoḍaśopacāra, the sixteen offerings, taught one at a time with their mantras

Saṅkalpa and Kalasha puja, the steps most households skip or rush

Timings

Batch timings for Auckland

Live classes on NZST/NZDT, scheduled around your week rather than ours.

Weekday 4:30 to 6:30 PM Auckland time, which is the Indian late morning to early afternoon, plus Saturday mornings. New Zealand daylight saving changes the gap by an hour, and we hold your local time.

Auckland is where most of our New Zealand families are, as our New Zealand page notes.

Getting started is easy

Three simple steps to begin

1. Tell us who the class is for

Call or WhatsApp us and say who is joining and where they are starting from. For online puja classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to their age, body and experience.

2. Personal guidance from a mentor

A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with you for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class and batch of ours.

3. Pick a slot that fits your week

We place you in a batch scheduled for NZST/NZDT, around work, family and daily routine rather than across them.

“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
