Vedic Chanting Classes for Kids in Coimbatore
Vedic chanting taught with the swara intact
Vedic chanting is not shloka recitation with more feeling. It is a precise system — udatta, anudatta, svarita, the pitch pattern that is part of the text itself and not decoration on top of it. Get the swara wrong and you are saying something else. This class treats that precision as the point.

Vedic chanting taught with the swara intact
This is the most demanding class we run, and it is not the right first step for a child who has never chanted. Most families start with shloka classes and move here once articulation is clean and the child can hold a verse without prompting. We will tell you honestly at the trial which of the two your child is ready for.
Coimbatore parents tend to arrive with a specific ask rather than a general one — a particular stotram, a Gita chapter, or preparation for a school competition. We are comfortable with that; batches are built around a syllabus but mentors will work a family’s specific target into it.
Swara taught as part of the text, not as musical ornament
Breath and pause discipline, the physical basis of chanting
Traditional repetition method, learned by ear from a mentor
Preparation for chanting at home rituals and at temple
Small batches, because swara errors are individual
Honest assessment of readiness before you commit
Batch timings for Coimbatore
Live classes on IST, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
IST batches, weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM and weekend mornings, the same ones Bengaluru families join.
Classes run online from Bengaluru; there is no Coimbatore centre. Instruction is in English, with Tamil used wherever it makes a verse land better.

Vedic Chanting Classes for Kids, module by module
What a year of vedic chanting classes for kids actually covers, in the order we teach it.
The Three Accents
Udatta, anudatta and svarita, heard, marked and produced, until the child can place them without thinking.
Breath and Pause
Where a chant breathes and where it must not. The physical training underneath everything else.
Learning by Ear
The traditional mentor-to-student repetition cycle, with no text in front of the child at first.
Core Chants
Ganapati prarthana, Shanti mantras and the Gayatri, with full swara.
Longer Passages
Building stamina and accuracy across passages that take more than a single breath cycle.
Chanting in Context
Where each chant belongs in a ritual, and how to lead it for a family gathering.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For vedic chanting classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the trial to what they can already do.
2. Free trial with a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for IST. IST batches, weekday 5:30 to 8:00 PM and weekend mornings, the same ones Bengaluru families join..
“My son now begins every day with his shlokas, chanting them perfectly, and actually understanding what they mean. What moved me most is how much calmer and more focused he has become.”
Vedic Chanting Classes for Kids in Coimbatore, FAQs
Shloka recitation asks for correct words and clear articulation. Vedic chanting adds swara, a fixed pitch pattern that is part of the text. Two chants with identical words and different swara are not the same chant.
