Online Art Classes for Kids in Malaysia
Art classes that teach technique and India’s own traditions
Most children’s art classes are one of two things: a craft hour where everyone makes the same thing, or a Western fundamentals course that treats Indian art as a decorative afterthought. We teach both halves properly. Observation, line, proportion and colour as real technique, and Warli, Madhubani, Rangoli and Kalamkari as real disciplines with their own rules.

Art classes that teach technique and India’s own traditions
The test of an art class is whether a child improves at drawing, not whether they come away with something fridge-worthy. Mentors work on grip, proportion and observation from the first class, and because batches are small they can see each child’s page on screen and correct it while the pencil is still moving.
Malaysia has two Indian communities living side by side. The larger is Malaysian Indian, overwhelmingly Tamil, whose families arrived generations ago to work the rubber estates and who built temples like Batu Caves; the newer one is professionals who moved to Kuala Lumpur and Cyberjaya for work. Children from the first often have Tamil devotional songs but no Sanskrit; children from the second often have neither.
Drawing fundamentals taught as skill, not as talent
Four Indian folk art forms alongside Western technique
Every child works on their own page, not a shared template
Small batches, so the mentor sees each drawing as it happens
Batch timings for Malaysia
Live classes on MYT, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Malaysia is two and a half hours ahead of India, so a 6:00 to 8:00 PM weekday class in Kuala Lumpur is the Indian late afternoon. Saturday morning batches run as well. There is no daylight saving on either side, so timings never move.
What your child walks away able to do
Drawing from observation with correct proportion
Fluency in Warli, Madhubani, Rangoli and Kalamkari
A finished portfolio the child chose and completed

Prefer a room, paper and paint on a table?
Arts & Painting runs in person at our arts studio in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and, like every class of ours, at our HSR Layout centre, 243, 16th Main Road, Sector 3, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Both use the same mentors and the same curriculum as the online batches. Families outside Bengaluru take the online batches, which cover the identical curriculum.
Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us about your child
Call or WhatsApp us and say where your child is starting from. For online art classes for kids that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to what they can already do.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with your child for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class of ours for them.
3. Pick a slot that survives the school week
We place your child in a batch built for MYT. Malaysia is two and a half hours ahead of India, so a 6:00 to 8:00 PM weekday class in Kuala Lumpur is the Indian late afternoon.
“Timezone was our biggest worry. Smriti Samskara made it effortless, the Mahabharata class fits perfectly into our London evenings, and the storytelling quality is simply exceptional.”
Online Art Classes for Kids in Malaysia, FAQs
Better than most parents expect. The mentor’s hands and paper are on screen throughout, and with a small batch they can see each child’s page and fix a grip or a proportion in the moment. Families who would rather have a room can join in-person arts batches at our HSR Layout centre or our Jayanagar arts studio in Bengaluru.
