Postnatal Yoga Classes in Australia
Getting your body back, slowly and on your own schedule
After delivery the body has been through months of change and, for many mothers, surgery too. Postnatal yoga here starts from the ground: breathing that reconnects with the deep core, gentle pelvic-floor awareness, and posture for all the feeding and carrying. It begins only after your doctor has cleared you, and it builds back gradually, with no rush to “bounce back”.

Getting your body back, slowly and on your own schedule
Jumping straight into crunches, planks or a regular power class can put strain on a core and pelvic floor that are still recovering. Social media is full of that pressure. Here the mentor asks about your delivery, any C-section or separation of the abdominal muscles, and your doctor’s advice, and then builds your practice step by step.
Australia runs four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of India, which turns out to be the friendliest gap of all. An early evening class in Sydney or Melbourne is the middle of the Indian afternoon, so weekday batches are genuinely easy rather than a compromise.
Started only after your doctor’s postpartum clearance, later for a C-section
Gentle deep-core and pelvic-floor work before any strenuous exercise
C-section and abdominal-separation concerns shared beforehand and respected
Breathing and rest that give a tired new mother a pause in the day

Live classes on AEST, scheduled around your week rather than ours.
Weekday 5:00 to 7:30 PM AEST is our main Australian window and it works for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra alike. Perth families are three hours behind the eastern states and take an earlier slot. Daylight saving shifts are handled by us, not by you.
Melbourne and Sydney account for most of our Australian families, with Brisbane and Perth growing. Several families found us through the Bharatanatyam community that Nrithyakshetra, our parent academy, is part of.

Three simple steps to begin
1. Tell us who the class is for
Call or WhatsApp us and say who is joining and where they are starting from. For postnatal yoga classes that matters — the mentor pitches the first class to their age, body and experience.
2. Personal guidance from a mentor
A real, live class, not a sales call. The mentor works with you for the full session and then tells you honestly whether this is the right class and batch of ours.
3. Pick a slot that fits your week
We place you in a batch scheduled for AEST, around work, family and daily routine rather than across them.
“My daughter used to freeze on stage. After a few months of public speaking classes, she confidently delivered a speech at her school assembly. The mentors are patient and truly gifted.”
Postnatal Yoga Classes in Australia, FAQs
We do not promise to fix or treat it. If you have or suspect separation of the abdominal muscles, have it assessed by your doctor or a physiotherapist, and tell the mentor, who will avoid movements that strain it.
